Sharpening and service

TOGIYA scissors last for years if you look after them and have them sharpened from time to time. We take care of everything, without you having to leave the salon.

Sharpening in Japan

We sharpen the scissors at the TOGIYA workshop in Japan, using the same method as in production. Do not give them to just any knife grinder: the wrong machine destroys the convex edge of the blade.

  1. Send us the scissorsTo: TOGIYA Polska, Sokolnik 17, 14-420 Młynary, Poland. Pack them in their case and a box, and add a note with your phone number.
  2. We confirm the cost and timingWe call you before sending the scissors to Japan.
  3. You get your sharpened scissors backWe send them to your address by courier.

Shipping costs are covered by the customer.

Send scissors for sharpening

Serial number

Every pair of TOGIYA scissors has a number stamped on the blade. It tells us which batch they come from, and we keep their service history, including every sharpening. Please give it when you send them in.

Guarantee: 2 years

TOGIYA gives a two-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover:

  • damage caused by dropping the scissors or knocking them against another object (e.g. a broken blade),
  • damage caused by improper use: the scissors are intended only for cutting hair,
  • shipping costs.

The customer pays for repairing damage caused by careless handling of the scissors.

Care

  • After each working day, and more often if needed, wipe the blades with the chamois.
  • Put a drop of TOGIYA oil on the pivot screw and open and close the scissors a few times.
  • Keep them in their case, away from other tools.

Oil and a chamois cloth come with every pair of scissors.

Delivery and payment

  • Delivery is free, by courier to the address you provide in Poland.
  • We ship within 3–7 working days after the payment is booked. Models marked “Made to order” are brought in from Japan, within 14 days.
  • Payment by bank transfer. You see the payment details right after placing your order, and we also send them by e-mail.
  • On request we issue a VAT invoice for your company.

Returns

If you buy online as a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. Just let us know and send the product back. We refund the money within 14 days.
